ANC welcomes SOPA address by David Makhura

The African National Congress has welcomed the State of the Province address by Premier David Makhura which he delivered on Monday.

ANC’s Nkenke Kekana said the party in the province is responding decisively to the concerns raised by the people.

Kekana said it is important that the province moves faster in dealing with the triple challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequality.

He added that Premier Makhura presented visionary, bold and decisive interventions to move the Gauteng City Region forward.

Kekana said we are pleased that there are new mega settlements that have been planned.

Kekana said we are pleased that the Gauteng government is looking into the generation of electricity.

Kekana said we are also pleased that there is an attempt to create an integrated public transport network that is affordable to the people Guateng.

“Overall the speech was spot on when it came to the interest of our people” Kekana added.
