The Communication Workers Union has called on Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services Siyabonga Cwele to reshuffle the leadership of the South African Post Office.

This comes after newly appointed Caretaker Simo Lushaba whom the union believes he has displayed inability and a lack of turning around the current situation facing the public entity.

CWU General Secretary Aubrey Tshabalala said this comes after Minister Cwele established a leadership forum which involved all stakeholders including the trade unions that are organised in SAPO.

Tshabalala said: “Lushaba is a part of the crisis. He has created a lot of flops which will further take down the Post Office into the drain. How his approaching is not different to the people with the corrupt management of the South African Post Office. As the trade union movement we are saying Lushaba must go with immediate effect.”
