Five suspects who were arrested last week following the largest drug burst in Gauteng have appeared in court.

The five suspects aged between 27 and 78-years-old were arrested after they were linked to a drug bust where the Hawks seized mandrax tablets worth R25 million.

They were all charged with possession and dealing in drugs.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said they went to court last week Thursday already and only one person, the 34-year-old lady was given R2 000 bail.

“The other four suspects are still in custody and will be appearing in court this coming Friday.”  Mulaudzi continued.
