MEC Dan Plato to engage with youth in Tafelsig

Western Cape MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato will today conduct a walkabout in Tafelsig.

The walkabout is for the MEC to speak to the youth in the area about issues that are of concern to them in their communities. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha said together with the help of the Neighbourhood Watch, Community Policing Forum and the South African Police Service, MEC Plato and officials will seek to assess and help address problems of safety and drug abuse.

Botha said particularly among the youth, as well as inform and engage with parents about their specific role and responsibility towards their children’s safety and education.
