Mitchells Plain bus collision left 24 injured

An accident this morning involving two buses left 24 people injured on the AZ Berman Road in Lentegeur.

It is believed that one bus drove into the rear of the second bus. 

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24 paramedics, along with Metro services, arrived on scene and found the two large buses in the slow lane of the road.

Meiring added that on inspection, paramedics discovered that 24 people had sustained minor injuries. Fortunately no-one has sustained and severe injuries in the collision.

He emphasised that paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and transported them to Mitchells Plain Hospital for further observations.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
