Round two SONA debate underway

Round two of the debate into the State of the Nation Address is being held today.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Bheki Cele kicked off the debate by focusing on land reform and foreigner’s ownership of land.

Economic Freedom Fighters MP Floyd Shivambu highlighted the plight of the working class and said we cannot celebrate that 15 million people are employed in the country.

Freedom Front Plus’s Pieter Mulder said by President Jacob Zuma blaming apartheid for Eskom’s problem is a scapegoat politics.

Bush Radio’s Mbasa Gqokoma filed this report: “Just after the speaker Thandi Modise, Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces made remarks, a DA chief raised a point alerting that VIP protection services deployed into the national assembly of was very unparliamentarily. However the Chairperson of the session promised to look on the matter raised.  And of cause Deputy ministers and ministers took the stand and delivered speeches followed by political party representatives.
