Twenty-five people left injured following a taxi accident

An accident this morning in Amanzimtoti has left twenty-five people injured including school children.

It is believed that two taxi’s collided into each other.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found twenty-one school children between the ages of six and thirteen had sustained injuries as well as four adults one of them a pregnant female about eight months.

Botha said they were all treated on scene before being transferred to various hospitals for the medical attention that they required.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
