An
accident this morning on the N12 in Benoni has left 21 people injured after
three vehicles collided into each other.

Spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24 paramedics from the Johannesburg East
branch, along with other services, arrived on scene and found all three
vehicles in the right emergency lane of the highway.
Meiring
said that on assessment, paramedics discovered that 21 occupants from the taxi
had sustained only minor injuries. Fortunately no-one sustained and serious
injuries.
"Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and
thereafter transported them to Sunshine Hospital for further medical treatment. The
driver of the bakkie and light motor vehicle fortunately escape without
injuries.” Meiring added.
