An accident leaves occupants seriously injured after smashing into a cow

Netcare 911 and other services responded to an accident on the N3 between Villers to Warden last.

The driver and assistant of the heavy goods vehicle were not injured during the accident.

The exact details surrounding the cause of the accident will remain a subject to a police investigation.

Netcare 911’s media liaison officer Santi Steinmann said upon arrival on scene they have found that a light delivery vehicle had crashed against a cow resulting in the vehicle crashing against a heavy goods vehicle.

Steinmann said the occupants of the light delivery vehicle sustained serious injuries and after receiving treatment at the scene they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
