Business as normal at Eskom following the resignation of Zola Tsotsi

Eskom Spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe says they will be working together with the new acting Chairperson Dr Ben Ngubane to make sure that Eskom remains financially sustainable.

This follows the resignation of Chairperson Zola Tsotsi last night stating that he is stepping down in the interest of the company and the country, to allow the board to focus on the core issues facing Eskom.

Phasiwe said that they will be working together with the new interim chairman, together with the executives we will make sure that we do what we have to do.

“Our main focus at this stage is to keep the lights and also to make sure that the security of power supply for the country which is the number one priority for us and also making sure that we remain financial sustainable.” Phasiwe added.
