A National Consultative Conference will be held later next week to discuss the draft National Youth Policy.

The draft policy has been gazetted for public consultation and comment earlier this year.

Deputy Minister Buti Manamela has continued to assert his commitment in ensuring that the final policy reflected the views of young people.

Minister Manamela said the two day conference also aims to afford space for extensive debate on each priority of the NYP.

Spokesperson for the Deputy Matshepo Seedat said Deputy Minister invited people to be robust and engage with the policy during the consultative process young people came out in their numbers and have told government what they would like within the National Youth Policy.

“This ends the consultative process as we will consolidate all the inputs and come up with a final policy which will be signed by the Minister in the presidency Jeff Radebe” Seedat added.
