ANC condemns looting of shops at Cape CDB

The African National Congress in the Western Cape has condemned the action by Ses’Khona leaders and members who looted shops in the Cape Town CDB on Thursday.

ANC’s Cobus Grobler said in a statement that the ANC may differ with some of the tactics followed by Ses’Khona in the past, but recognise that they have a just cause and role to overcome inferior service delivery in poor areas.

Grobler said Andile didn’t act like an ANC leader, he was looking after his own interests and he didn’t exercise proper leadership and therefore some of the people that came with them in this march, went off looting and plundering shops in Cape Town CBD.

Grobler added that this is unacceptable and people should come forward to bring those criminals to book that have stolen and robbed.
