Western Cape MEC of Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela will today launch the Belhar Gardens Rental Estate Housing Project.
The project is worth 207 million and when completed will deliver 629 units.
MEC Madikizela said the units will also be energy efficient as heat pumps instead of conventional geysers to heat water will be installed in all of the units.
MEC Madikizela said the good thing about the project is that it is a mixed development; there are bachelor flats, two bedroom units and it will be able to accommodate people who earn between R 3 500 to R 7 500 and we are spending just over R 207 million.
MEC Madikizela said it is a massive project because it is inline with our strategic direction which is being taken as Department of Human Settlements.
