The Western Cape government says over
one-thousand Pelican
Park units have already
been handed over and with its completion in 2016 over seven-hundred houses will
be subsidised.
Councillor Benedicta van Minnen said the
development will be finished on time and that this project is an opportunity
for people to own asset to the previously disadvantage residents.
Minnen says we got 2 024
totally subsidised homes being built alongside 760 gap houses. And then
obviously 360 high value homes which will be sold to people who then qualify
for bonds.
“In addition we have got the commercial
prescient which opened in November
2014 which is the great way to enable economic opportunities for the residence
along with open spaces within the development” Minnen added.
