Over 700 houses to be subsidised as part of the Pelican Park project

The Western Cape government says over one-thousand Pelican Park units have already been handed over and with its completion in 2016 over seven-hundred houses will be subsidised.
Councillor Benedicta van Minnen said the development will be finished on time and that this project is an opportunity for people to own asset to the previously disadvantage residents.

Minnen says we got 2 024 totally subsidised homes being built alongside 760 gap houses. And then obviously 360 high value homes which will be sold to people who then qualify for bonds.

“In addition we have got the commercial prescient which opened in November 2014 which is the great way to enable economic opportunities for the residence along with open spaces within the development” Minnen added.
