A 36-year-old suspects has been taken in for questioning following the discovery of the body of a 16-year-old girl in Kalk Bay on Sunday.
Colonel Tembinkosi Kinana said however no arrests have been made as yet.
“We are looking at the possibility that the body recovered yesterday could be linked to the missing person. At this stage we cannot confirm if this body of that Michaela Adriaanse nor can we confirm that the arrested suspect is linked to the missing person.” Kinana added.
The girl went missing earlier this month when she was last seen with her friend in Kalk Bay Main Road.
The suspect is currently in Police’s custody
