Two suspects aged 39 and 51-years-old are expected to appear in the Knysna Magistrate Court after they were arrested for being in possession of stolen property.

The arrest comes after police received a tip-off about two suspicious men walking down the Knoetzie road on Sunday.

The suspects have been charged of possession of suspected stolen property.

Captain Malcolm Pojie said further investigation led the police to a dense bushy area where discovered a flat screen television as well as other stuff that had been concealed in dense bushes.

Pojie said an eye witness that saw them earlier that day carrying the flat screen television put the police on the scene.

“We have reason to believe that the suspects burgled a house in a nearby vicinity and therefore we appeal to anybody that can identify the property to contact the Knysna police station on 044 302 6608 or 6609” Pojie added.
