A taxi accident on the M1 direction North just after Collett Drive off ramp left two people dead.
It is believed that the taxi they were travelling on overturned. Six other patients were injured, and two of the injured were treated for moderate injuries and four were treated for minor injuries.

The exact cause of the accident is unknown, however authorities were on scene for further investigations. ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing says two people died and six others were injured when the taxi they were travelling in overturned on the M1, direction North, just after the Collett Drive off ramp early this morning.

Bodasing says when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found patients lying all over.

Patients were assessed and unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for two men, one of whom was ejected from the taxi. They were declared dead, Bodasing added.
