Four police officers are facing charges including house robbery, and possession of stolen property after they were arrested for house robbery in Akasia, Pretoria on Tuesday.

The police officers are expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's court on Thursday.

Police spokesperson Major Mack Mngomezulu says from the house robbery scene they took one of the victims in the house and her car to the place because that victim was visiting the address where the house robbery was committed.

Mngomezulu added that “they took her to her place in Synoville where before they arrived in her place, they parked her car next to a restaurant in Synoville and they took her with their cars to her place where they also searched but they could pick nothing there.

"When they brought her back to where her car was parked, it’s when the local restaurant staff alerted the local police” Mngomezulu added.
