He was speaking on Tuesday at
the fourth and final International Migration Policy Roundtable in Pretoria.
Minister Gigaba said these
discussions on migration have been very important in shaping several policy
documents that the department is currently busy with.
Gigaba added that they hope that they
should be able to approach cabinet with a document of sort. at present we
think that the new policy will have about ten chapters it will introduce new
elements that have not been there before.
“One of those is kicking it
off with the argument to why international migration is important and we going
to look at international migration rather than immigration” Gigaba added.
