Patricia de Lille emerges as WC DA leader

The Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape has endorsed its provincial leader on Saturday.

City of Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille emerged with an impressive sixty-nine percent worth of votes in the congress.

About 1100 delegates attended the congress. Western Cape Communications Manager Liza Albrecht says the DA in the Western Cape had its provincial congress in Goodwood.



More than a 1000 of delegates voted for a new leadership for the province.

Patricia de Lille who is also currently the mayor of City of Cape Town was elected the new provincial leader of the DA in the Western Cape and MEC for Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela was elected the new deputy leader of the DA in the Western Cape, Albrecht added
