DA Shadow Minister of Labour, Ian Ollis, DA Shadow Minister of Health, Dr Wilmot James, and DA Shadow Deputy Minister of Labour, Michael Bagraim, will today address the media on the implications a failed Compensation Fund has on access to healthcare for injured employees, which is based on the results of a DA-mandated survey.

Over 1 200 individuals were surveyed, comprising of doctors, hospital staff, and employees.

DA Media Officer, Graham Charts said the fund has become one of the greatest barriers to medical care for injured South Africans, and is getting worse each passing day.

Charts added that doctors and hospitals are owed millions of rands by the Fund, some dating back more than a decade.

Charts said this cannot continue any longer. The DA will announce their action plan in this regard.
