An accident this morning on the N1 highway west of Johannesburg left six people injured. This is after a car collided with a truck.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found the two vehicles on the right hand side of the highway.

Meiring said three of the six occupants were found seated on the barriers while the remaining three were found seated inside the vehicle.

“On inspection we found that all six of the occupants from the light motor vehicle had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. They were all treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to hospital for further medical care” Meiring added.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
