Eskom has announced that it has implemented stage two load shedding since 7 am this morning which will lasted until 12 pm this afternoon.

From midday we are going to move to stage one of load shedding up until 10 pm this evening.

Eskom’s spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said the reason why we started with stage two load shedding is because, for the bulk of the week we have been using many of our diesel generators and as a result we had to replenish the diesel and also the water reserve.

Phasiwe said we have now completed the process of filling our reservoir and we also completed the refilling of tanks for our diesel generators.
