The new state-of-the-art health facility in the Nomzamo community is expected to be completed by June, with the commissioning phase set to be completed by October this year.

Western Cape MEC of Health Nomafrench Mbombo together with MEC of Transport and Public Works Donald Grant visited the site yesterday to inspect progress on the delivery of the much needed facility in the Strand area.

Ministerial Spokesperson Siphesihle Dube said the facility is a R28-million investment jointly by the Department of Health and the Department of Transport and Public Works.

Dube said the facility will have various healthcare services including women health, chronic unit, and infectious disease wing as well as pharmacy services.
