The Congress of the People has raised its concern regarding the South African Revenue Services stating that it is slowly losing its credibility.

SARS has been making headlines for the past few weeks regarding officials receiving golden handshakes and recently its former spokesperson Adrian Lackay is being sued for defamation.

COPE Spokesperson Dennis Bloem said the spokesperson is being sued by Sars and the Commissioner Thomas Moyane, apparently they are claiming that he has laid serious allegations against Moyane and he have also published a confidential information

“We are calling upon Minster of Finance Nhlanhla Nene to institute an independent inquiry for us to know the truth. We must know what is happening at Sars.” Bloem added.
