The National Union of Mineworkers has welcomed the judgement against Aurora directors.

The North Guateng High Court this afternoon ruled that the directors of Pamodzi Empowerment Systems were liable for the cost of destruction of mining assets under their control.

The directors of Aurora have been accused of stripping assets of mines of Pamodzi.

NUM’s Livhuwani Mammburu said the judgement today is the light at the end of the tunnel. We have always believed as the NUM that Aurora directors were not credible.

Mammburu added that, they were thieves who came out to steal assets of the company.

These were the group of thieves who stripped all the assets of the company and destroyed its infrastructure, Mammburu added.
