Operation Fiela proves to be effective in the North West

Operation Fiela in North West has yet again yielded positive results in Brits and Hartbeespoortdam on the 12 of June 2015, which led to the arrest of three people.

The operation was conducted jointly by the South African Police Service and the South African National Defence Force.

Police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone said during the operation three suspects were apprehended for drug-related crimes and one for dealing in liquor without a licence. 

“The following items were seized during the operation; 104 grams of various drugs and 135 grams of dagga.  A car was recovered after being found abandoned in Hartbeespoortdam. Preliminary investigations revealed that the car was reported stolen in the area at the beginning of this month.” Mokgwabone added.

The police together with other law enforcement officials will continue with these operations to maintain stability and make communities safer.
