Cape police have made a swift arrest of two suspects for raping a 47 year old
woman in Storms River.
It
is alleged that the woman was jogging in the Tsitisikamma area, in Storms River
when she was approached by two unknown men.
Police
Spokesperson Gerda Swart said the men overpowered her and dragged her into
nearby bushes where they raped her. The
victim reported the matter to the local police.
“The
suspects were immediately launched and at about 19:30 on the 14th June
2015. The two suspects, aged 25 and 26 were apprehended in the area.” Swart
added.
The
suspects will appear in the Storms River Magistrates Court on 17 June 2015 on
rape charges.
