A truck driver died in accident in South Hills

A truck driver died this afternoon after he lost control of his truck and crashed into the front of a house in South Hills.

ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found the truck lying on its side. The front of the house was badly damaged.

Bodasing added that the truck driver, who was ejected and found close to the truck, was assessed. It was found that he sustained multiple severe injuries. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared dead.

She also said that the occupant of the house, who was at the back of the house at the time of the incident, was fortunately not injured.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
