A 42 year old woman was
arrested at the OR Tambo International Airport after she was found in
possession of drugs.
The South African woman
arrived from Sao Paulo on a South African Airways flight.
Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo said
members from Customs and Ecise conducted routine checks and discovered that the
woman had concealed over 4 kilograms of drugs, believed to be cocaine, in books
which were in her check-in-luggage.
Naidoo said the drugs are
valued at over R1.2 million.
“She will be charged with
dealing in drugs and will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate court today”
Naidoo concluded.
