Eastern Cape government restoring dignity of a girl child

The Eastern Cape Provincial Government is currently hosting a Sanitary Dignity Pack Campaign in Peddie today, in a drive to restore the dignity of a girl child.

The Campaign is part of the Nelson Mandela Month activities to give dignity and enhance confidence and self-reliance in girls from poverty stricken areas who do not have access to such services.

Manager Media Relations in the Office of the Premier Hlanga Mafani said when girls go into menstrual period they miss about four days a week in total a year its more than 548 days.


Mafani said this campaign will make sure that one it restores the dignity of girl children that does not have access to these services. Secondly it will ensure that there is a continued effort in the province to improve the standard of education.
