IFP calls on government to prevent underage drinking

The Inkatha Freedom Party calls on the government, private sectors and individual communities to join together to prevent underage drinking following the deaths of eight young women at a tavern in Makhaza, Khayelitsha.

IFP believes it is the responsibility of all social systems to stop underage drinking.

IFP National Chairperson Blessed Gwala said we believe that scaffolding the national youth is the responsibility of all people from all social work groups, together work the common goal of preventing and reducing the drinking.

“Then they create the powerful synergy that is critical to be realisation of this objective” Gwala added.
