The Inkatha Freedom Party has expressed shock at the death of Ward 39 Chairman Mbhasobheni Biyela.

He was gunned down late last night in a hail of bullets in KwaMashu.

Last month Makhosi Ndebele one of IFP’s ward committee member was also gunned down.

IFP National Chairman Blessed Gwala has called for the killers to be brought to book and for justice to be served.

Gwala said “I was also devastated by the fact that I came to the scene last night to see him lying in a pool of blood on the road.

“It is very unfortunate that I contacted the MEC for Community Safety and Chairperson on the Portfolio Committee on Community Safety because I was approached by various concerned citizens in different hostels in KwaMashu talking about this issue of the killings, up to this date, the MEC has not secured any date to meet these people” Gwala added.
