An accident this morning left a motorcyclist
in critical condition after a bike and car collided along Silver Lakes Road,
Tiger Valley in Pretoria.
Netcare911 Spokesperson Chris Botha
said they arrived at the scene and found the roadway to be obstructed with
accident debris and the twisted frame of the bike and car.
Botha added that the critically wounded man was found
several meters from the wreckage of his bike with life threatening injuries.
"Paramedics stabilized him on scene and
transferred him by helicopter through to a local hospital for further care" Botha said.
In a separate accident a man in his
forties is in a critical condition after a motorbike and a taxi collided
yesterday afternoon along Lazar Ave, Randgate, and Randfontein.
Netcare911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said When
they arrived at the scene, they found the biker lying on the roadway with life
threatening injuries.
Exact details to the cause of the
accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
