A biker died following a
collision with a vehicle on the R36 Lydenburg Road about seven kilometres
outside Tzaneenn on Friday night.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing
said when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found the
biker several metres away from his bike.
He was assessed and found to
have sustained multiple severe injuries. Unfortunately there was nothing
paramedics could do for him.
The driver of the vehicle was
treated for minor injuries and transported to hospital for further medical
care.
The exact cause of the
collision is unknown, however, authorities were on scene for further
investigations.
Meanwhile, a man died after he
was knocked down by a truck on the N3 in the Sand River Valley area in KwaZulu
Natal late last night.

Bodasing said when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they
assessed the man and found that he had sustained severe injuries.
Bodasing said nfortunately
there was nothing paramedics could do for him he had succumbed to his injuries,
which include severe head injuries, he was declared dead.
She said the truck driver was
uninjured but was shocked following the incident. It is believed the man was
walking on the road when he was knocked.
Authorities were on scene for
further investigations.
