The Congress of the People has vowed that it battle corruption. This includes action against those presenting fake qualifications.

COPE spokesperson Dennis Bloem says, after 21-years of democracy, the evil of corruption is threatening to bring the country into a state of utter chaos.

Bloem says, it has become fashionable in social circles to talk about corruption.

Bloem said we are saying that the time for talking is over. We are going to act, and we are going to act decisively.

“We have already started with opening cases against Daniel Mtimkulu of Prasa, Ellen Tshabalala, former chairwoman of the SABC board, and again we have also laid fraud charges against SASSA officials for illegally deducing money from pensioners and child grant recipients” Bloem added.
