MEC Fritz to launch Youth Skills Transfer Programme

Today, Western Cape MEC for Social Development, Albert Fritz, will launch the innovative Youth Skills Transfer Programme.

The programme is an initiative of the department in partnership with the Community Chest and Cape Nature.

MEC Fritz says, the partnership with the Cape Nature Chest and Cape Nature will set the YST offer a customised package of skills development workshops for youth who are not educated, employed, skilled or trained and will benefit 390 young people.

Fritz added that “We are keen to train more than 390 young people who are unemployed. In that programme we hope to secure young people to form their own companies for their own Events Management projects, so that government can prioritize them for business”.


“We are very excited to take young people from unemployment right into opportunities for work and that they will create themselves their own future” MEC Fritz.
