A shack fire in Orange Farm has killed 5 children. Johannesburg Emergency Services have confirmed the blaze broke out late last night in Ematsheni and then spread to other shacks.

EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said the three boys and two girls, between the ages of 4 and 17 suffered smoke inhalation and died as a result.

Mulaudzi added all the children were confirmed dead on the scene.
