Western Cape MEC of Community Safety, Dan Plato says he condemns in the strong possible terms the alleged vigilante killing which happened in Hout Bay on Thursday evening.

Plato said, it needs to be made explicitly clear that the Western Cape will not tolerate vigilant killings, regardless of its motivation or the circumstances.

He said those responsible for the stoning have become murderers themselves and will have to face the full might of the law.

Ministerial spokesperson Ewald Botha said we urge the communities to distance itself from the criminal elements among them and help identify the murderers and report them to the authorities.

He said we encourage the community to report all incidents of crimes to the police as those responsible for the crime last night have become murderers themselves.
