The City of Cape Town’s Traffic Service is concerned by a string of negligent driving incidents.

On Friday, September 11, officers arrested 28 drunk drivers during a Durbanville operation.

That same day officers arrested five more motorists, including a bakkie driver who drew five Ghost Squad vehicles into a high speed chase.

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said, “We ask that the public do work with us and not aggravate the situation for themselves by behaving in a reckless manner.”
