The Congress of the People has called on government to carry out immediate qualification checks in all departments within the government.

This follows the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa’s David Mthimkulu’s fake qualifications.

Cope believes the government is not sending out a clear enough message to fraudsters.

Cope spokesperson Dennis Bloem said the government should act in each instance.

Bloem mentioned that COPE have shown that they are very serious about tackling this issue, by laying criminal charges against PRASA’s David Mthimkula and  former SABC’s employee Ellen Tshabala

“We are calling on government to act fast because this will eat up Society” Bloem added.
