The Congress of South African Trade Unions in the North West has called for local government and traditional Affairs Department to fire acting Municipal Manager and its team.

Ngaka Modire Molema municipality has not received clean audits since the deployment of the team.

Cosatu Provincial Secretary Solly Phetoe says they are concerned about the capabilities of those ushered with the responsibility to deliver quality public services to communities.

“They are not able to resolve all the challenges, what they know is to deal with workers. They were given a mandate of six months, six months has gone, and they are not able to help the municipality. Therefore, they must be removed.

We are calling on Provincial government, Premier and the Minister to take over that municipality and do the correct thing," Pheto
