Deputy President promotes foreign investors to invest in South African film Industry

The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Mzwandile Masina has urged the Canadian business people to invest in the South African film and television industry.

Masina was addressing a networking session hosted by the South African Consulate in Canada on the side-lines of the Toronto International Film Festival.

Departmental spokesperson Sidwell Medupe confirmed that the deputy president said South Africa is the perfect location for the film production and that the Government is committed to supporting the countries film and television industry in order to stimulate its growth.

 Medupe mentioned that “as a country we recognize its importance in creating employment opportunities.”
