Last night three people were injured  following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle at the Olievenhout and Northumberland Road intersection, Johannesburg.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak explained, when ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the taxi lying on its side in the road.

On assessment, paramedics found that three people, including the taxi driver, had sustained moderate to minor injuries in the collision.

Paramedics carefully removed the patients from the vehicle and treated them for their injuries.

Once treated, they were immobilised and transported to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.

The cause is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigation, Vermaak concluded.
