Three Suspects arrested for livestock theft

Police in Kwa-Zulu Natal have arrested three suspects, aged between 31 and 59, and recovered the stolen stock from their respective kraals.

South African police Spokesperson Thulani Zwane said this follows after an investigation which led to the recovery of all 31 stolen cattle.

The police further seized 43 cattle which were suspected to be stolen.

Zwane reported a herd of cattle was stolen from grazing fields at Embizeni camp.

The police will continue with their investigation to determine where the cattle were stolen. Meanwhile, the cattle have been taken to the pound for safe keeping.

They all appeared at Babanango Magistrate’s Court on September 14, where they were charged with stock theft.
