Man airlifted to Hospital after being critically injured

Last night the ER24 medical helicopter had to airlift a critically injured patient following an incident at the corner of Beyers Naude drive and Peter road in Roodeport.

It is understood that the man, who was riding a bicycle was knocked over by a bakkie.

ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing reported when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene they found a man, believed to be about 25 years old, lying on the side of the road.

He was assessed and found to have sustained critical injuries. He is being treated and the ER24 medical helicopter was activated to airlift him to hospital, Bodasing explained.


The exact cause to the incident is unknown, however Local authorities were on scene to investigate Bodasing concluded
