Taxi driver extracted from a collision

A taxi driver and three passengers who had to be extracted from the vehicle were injured in a collision on Old Main Road in Pinetown this morning. ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing explains
“ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found that a truck and taxi had collided.

The area was chaotic. The taxi driver was trapped in the vehicle, paramedics were able to take him out of the taxi.

The taxi driver as well as all other patients were assessed. The driver and one passenger were found to have sustained moderate injuries. Two other patients had sustained minor injuries.

They were treated and transported to local hospitals for further investigation.”


The exact cause of the collision is unknown, however, authorities were on scene for further investigations.
