A black-owned wine label in the Western Cape has launched a new offering, produced exclusively for one of South Africa’s biggest retailers.

Thokozani Wines, an empowerment initiative from Diemersfontein Wine Estate, has launched their new wine label, Ovation.

MEC of Economic Opportunities Alan Winde attended the launch at the Wine Estate last week.

MEC Winde congratulated Thokozani adding that transformation of the wine industry was a key priority for the Western Cape.

Spokesperson for Alan Winde, Bronwynne Jooste explained “MEC Winde says Thokozani’s latest deal is again proof of the world-class wine being produced in the Western Cape and he believes we need to celebrate more of these success stories.”
