The Democratic Alliance says that it is very pleased with the proceedings that took place before the Constitutional Court on Thursday.

The party made oral representations in protest to National Speaker of Parliament Baleka Mbete calling in police to remove MPs.

“We are satisfied that the judges took our submissions under advertisement and would return with a judgement in due course. Appreciating the constitutional flaws within this Act we are optimistic that the judgement will reflect our representations.” The DA’s spokesperson Samkelo Mgobozi said.
