Man killed, two others injured during Cape Town shooting

A man was killed and two others injured in a shooting in Ottery, Cape Town.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak reported at aproximatly 5 pm paramedics from ER24 and metro emergency services arrived on Ottery Road near Strandfontein Road where they were found injured.

It appeared that the men between the ages of 25 and 30 sustained gunshot wounds.

One of the injured men was found in a critical condition and another in a serious but stable condition.

Both were treated at the scene and later transported to a nearby hospital by ER24 and Metro EMS.

"A third person was found with fatal injuries and declared dead on the scene.",  Vermaak said.


The exact cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigation, Vermaak concluded.
